Former HER ENCHANTMENT Vocalist Joins ERIA D'OR

February 4, 2007

Dutch doom metal band ERIA D'OR has announced the addition of former HER ENCHANTMENT vocalist Richard to the group's ranks. The band has also parted ways with bassist Martijn and is currently seeking a replacement. Interested parties can contact the group at [email protected].

Formed in 1997 in the Southern Dutch province of Gorinchem, ERIA D'OR has released three self-financed EPs — "Songs of Sorrow and Agony", "The Black Wel" and "Memories" — but has yet to secure a proper record deal. According to the band's official bio, each ERIA D'OR song "has [its] own structure, resulting in a musical journey. The vocals are hereby equally important and are, just as the music, built up through different ways. Besides whispering and clean voice, a deep, heavy grunt and a penetrating scream are frequently used. The lyrics are an expression of feelings. Grief, happiness, hate, bewilderment and depression are placed, with a lot of fantasy, in a nearly unreal world."
